In the year of its launch, the Veyron 16.4 Super Sport set a world speed record for road cars. Listed in the Guinness World Records at an unprecedented 431.072 km/h, this elevated it to the throne of fastest production super sports car of its time. The designers gave the Veyron 16.4 Super Sport an utterly unique appearance – yet at the same time, every single exterior modification serves to improve performance.
The Super Sport’s flat, elongated form is immediately recognisable. Instead of bonnet scoops, the 16-cylinder engine is ventilated by two NACA ducts in the roof. The German-French super sports car built by Alsace-based Bugatti Automobiles SAS was developed by Bugatti Engineering GmbH in Wolfsburg. It is famed for having broken multiple speed records.
